Compassionate, Affordable Dental Care in the Morningside Community

At My Community Dental Centers, we are dedicated to providing each of our patients with high-quality, personalized dental care at a cost they can afford.

As Michigan's largest dental nonprofit, we have spent the last twenty years expanding access to quality dental care through our 28 centers statewide including our Detroit center, located on the Eastside of Detroit, in the Samaritan building off Conner Avenue.

Our mission is simple: improve oral health, strengthen communities, and change lives — one smile at a time.

Full-Service Dental Care
MCDC offers a full range of dental services for all ages, from routine cleanings and exams to restorative treatments such as fillings, crowns, dentures, and more. We work with each individual to determine the best course of treatment designed around their needs.

Equipped with some of the latest dental technology, MCDC is committed to making dental care accessible and comfortable for everyone. Our patients can expect the same quality of care they would receive at a private, for-profit dental office.

When it comes to payment for treatment, we accept Medicaid, many Medicare Advantage plans, and a wide variety of traditional dental insurance plans. For qualifying uninsured patients, we also offer discounted rates to help make care more affordable.

Free Dental Care for Detroit Residents
In addition to the insurances and discount rates mentioned above, MCDC is offering free dental care to eligible Detroit residents, in collaboration with the City of Detroit.

Eligibility Requirements Include:

  • Must live within the Detroit city limits.

  • Low or moderate income defined by Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

  • Proof of income and residency required to qualify

What to Expect at Your New Patient Appointment
Each visit typically begins with an initial consultation. A dental assistant reviews the patient’s medical history, discusses any concerns, and captures a full set of X-rays to assess the current condition of the teeth and gums.

The dentist then conducts a comprehensive exam, evaluating overall oral health and identifying any areas that may require attention. Following the examination, recommended treatment options are discussed to ensure patients understand their care plan and next steps.

Before departing, patients meet with patient service representatives to schedule follow-up appointments and continue their personalized treatment plan.
