Like so many Detroit neighborhoods, Morningside has survived against great odds, thanks to a strong community organization and residents who wouldn’t give up. A decade of struggle and resilience has brought us to a new phase.

Our beautiful Tudor brick homes are being restored, and property values have risen. We are poised to receive an influx of funding to revitalize the East Warren business corridor that runs through the heart of Morningside. Challenges remain, but our future is hopeful.
