Morningside TNR Program Helps Cats and Community
In recent weeks, Morningside TNR has trapped, neutered, and released six community cats in our neighborhood. Spaying and neutering these cats prevents future litters and reduces the growth of the community-cat population over time. Every cat that is fixed means exponentially fewer kittens being born in the years ahead.
Until that population is stabilized, Morningside TNR is also helping kittens born outdoors to find loving homes. In the last month, the group has rescued, fostered and adopted out four kittens, with four more kittens currently available for adoption. (See photo).
This important work has been made possible largely through the generosity of our neighbors. Community donations covered most of the costs of the recent TNR efforts, including veterinary care and other necessary expenses.
Morningside TNR wishes to thank everyone who has donated to and supported this cause. Your community support is helping make a lasting difference for Morningside’s cats. Any amount you can contribute to ongoing efforts is hugely appreciated. Donations can be sent via Venmo to @Lauren Latocki. Inquiries may be emailed to morningsidetnr@gmail.com.
