Community-Centered Flower Shop Coming to The Ribbon
I wanted to share an update on the retail space at The Ribbon on E. Warren at Kensington. Unfortunately, the yoga/fitness studio tenant we had been working with will no longer be moving forward with the space. That entrepreneur is phenomenal and had an incredible vision planned. They worked extremely hard to secure the funding needed to build out their concept, but like many small businesses right now, ran into a very challenging funding environment. We truly wish them nothing but success and hope to see their concept come to life in the future.
With that said, I'm excited to share some good news. We've recently signed a new lease with an entrepreneur who grew up right here in this community, moved away to play professional basketball, and has now returned home to open a flower shop in the neighborhood. The flower shop will be a community-centered flower shop offering fresh blooms, custom arrangements, and plant selections designed to brighten homes, celebrations, and neighborhood spaces.
A huge shoutout and thank you to Joe Rashid and the E. Warren Development Corp for making this connection possible. I'm forever grateful for the work they continue to put into supporting small businesses and helping the East Warren commercial corridor shine.
